Although not in person, EvOCRO was present as a poster at the IUCN SSC Crocodile Specialist Group (CSG) Working Meeting held in Morocco.
The CSG is a global network of researchers, conservationists, wildlife managers, institutions, and professionals working on the conservation of crocodilians worldwide (https://www.iucncsg.org/).
Every two years, the group gathers for its Working Meeting, an important event where the latest updates, projects, and studies on crocodiles, alligators, caimans, and gharials are presented and discussed.
This year, while fieldwork in Mexico prevented us from attending in person, we were still able to have our poster printed and displayed at the meeting. In this way, EvOCRO was represented, sharing our ongoing work on the cognition of Crocodylus moreletii.
We may not know how many people stopped in front of our poster, but we can say that, in some way, we were there.
